What is a reasonable price for a 2004 land rover discovery with 120k with a rear intake gasket leak? Everything besides that is very nice.

What model? S,se,se7, hse?

It will be very hard for you to convince someone that it's just a valley leak. Why not put in $100 in parts and 4 hours in labor and fix it if it really is that? That will probably yield you a grand more when you sell it.

Doing it right now myself, got the intake off in 4 hours just waiting on gaskets to show up. I traded a 98 Ford Contour for a 99 SE7 with 120k.

I wouldnt go more than 4k for it, you can find a good running 2002 for that and give it a face lift.

Are you positive its the intake leaking? Had it checked?

4 grand? I'm assuming you're not in Warshington state. If you are, I'm coming up there to go disco shopping. An 04 is about 3 times that much over here.

4k with a leaky gasket that could possibly be a head I guess is what I should have said. Double that if its a solid runner with a confirmed leak at the intake.
