Problems:

1: Engine doesn't work. Someone bought a new engine, put 6,000 miles on it, attempted to have it "bulletproofed" and then it didn't work. Why? I have no idea, and I'm not going to poke around to find out. Haven't even popped the hood. If you think you know what's wrong and have a 5 minute check I can perform, I'll do it. Anything beyond that and you'll need to have a look yourself. If you want to tow it to a mechanic for an inspection, that's fine.

2: Medium crack in windshield.

3: Rear bumper looks to have been tapped, and there is a small dent in the quarter just above it. The tailgate handle is loose, but that might be a quick fix. I just haven't bothered.

4: The front bumper was coated in bedliner, and it's begun to separate. It seems to want to come off in one piece.

5: I'd say the interior will reach a 7 out of 10 with about half an hour of wiping things down and all that. It's quite clean, but there is naturally a bit of wear. I might do it, or might not. Probably not.

6: I'm sure there are little issues here and there. Probably a few more scuffs, scratches, and small dents.
Obviously I can't fire it up to test everything. I'm not aware of any electronic malfunctions, but perhaps I can find enough battery laying around to test some things. The vehicle was parked because the engine didn't run; not for any other reason. That's probably the only deadline fault.

7: The wheels look stupid.

The Good Stuff:

1: It's in decent enough shape. Only surface rust is present, though some stands out under the bedliner on the front bumper. I am unaware of any mechanical problems not related to the engine. The paint could probably use a polish, but it's in good shape. You know how people fail to wax large work vehicles.

2: It's fitted with Nitto off-pavement tires that are in serviceable condition. They won't last forever, but they'll get her down the road for a while.

3: I don't know what's wrong with the engine, but it's only got 6,000 miles on it. There's bound to be a lot of money in there, or enough parts to repair a fault on your own vehicle.

4: Speaking of parts, one could probably do fairly decently selling it off bit by bit, but I'd say the truck is worth fixing if you feel like doing it yourself, or have a shop that's quick and reasonably priced.

If you want some detail photographs, I'll provide them.

PRICE: Right now I'm considering offers. It is indeed for sale, and it will sell; no water-testing here. I just don't want to put a number on it just yet.

I'm not parting this out. It ain't mine, but I know the guy that owns it pretty darn well. He's just not mechanically inclined. Otherwise, I'd have more information. I personally am just too busy to diagnose the vehicle.

It's located in Eastern NC.

For the record, the owner didn't do all that cosmetic stuff to the truck. He bought it for an employee to use, and I suppose the fellow wanted something unique.

Oh, the 6 liter. The thing that sucks about these is that the cab has to come off to do any actual engine work. Is this an auto or manual trans?

Priced it:

$5,500 OBO.

There is a Discoweb-specific price, but the truck is also advertised elsewhere at $5,500, so just PM me to find out where the Dweb number is.

I don't expect it to sell here, but you never know what someone needs, right? :)

Cheers,

Kennith
