My buddy got a base model 110 with steal wheels, cheap seats, and locker. It’s blue with white roof and wheels. I dig it.
I did a build on the website and upgraded w/ locking diff and some skid plates for 52K.
They drive great. I haven’t seen a whole lot of problems. A couple trucks had connectors that didn’t get fully latched at the factory. Some exterior trim making noise at highway speeds.
I like the way they drive. It feels solid. The 4 cylinder is the best engine in my opinion. The V8 should be fun.

Pretty good price when compared to the overall new SUV/truck vehicle market.
Having a 4 cylinder though reminds me of a Series era Rover. Of course power output is totally different.

I like that the door panels are screwed in rather than pop clipped.

I wonder if there's a reason that's meant to be repeatedly accessible?

(Or are those for show and they are indeed just popped in? 😄)

More likely the JLR hipsters accidentally stumbled upon a pragmatic solution only because it was also fashionable.

I can see from those pics that truck has that soft top thing. No way I would buy that. Paying extra to put a hole in a perfectly good roof is stupid in my opinion.

What do you mean? It’s not like LR sunroofs have a record of leaking. LOL

That thing is a long cut out rectangle that has a soft convertable that rolls back and forth like a sunshade in a Range Rover.
Sunroof drains get plugged up no matter who made it. Like I said” a hole in a perfectly good roof”

If you live in a tropical area where it's nice to just cruise around with all the windows open, it's great.

Especially if you don't want to have another car just to have a convertible.

Knock on wood, I've never had an issue with plug sunroof drains. Only time I've had a problem is on Discos where the spout cracks, or the glue gives out.

Other than that, my sunroof issues have been along the lines of forgetting to close the damn thing before a rainstorm 🤦

I did have an A6 where the battery compartment drain clogged and filled up the passenger side of the interior with 6" of water. Thankfully it was a 6-speed, cuz if not the transmission computer for autos under the passenger seat would have been fried 😄

I thought sunroofs were for people who smoke. That and those goofy vents they put on the door so the window can be cracked open while it's raining.
It's starting to cool off here in AZ and I had my windows open the other day. The LR4 produces some horrible turbulence and buffeting with only the rear windows open and even sometimes when the windows are only down a few inches. I'm wondering if those goofy window skirt things would help with that. Those things are also nice because you can leave your windows cracked an inch when parked in the 110-plus degree summers and the interior is still protected with the window skirt overhang. But they do look pretty dorky.

I doubt they would help. Some of what your talking about is a booming noise from pressure building up in the back until it overcomes the pressure being pushed in by the open window.
Oldsmobile Delta 88 was terrible for that. You could actually hear a booming sound. They came out with a bulletin that explained it pretty well.
