"Except the TFL team didn't get to drive even the 167 miles of the previous one because while they were having a winch installed (at the Land Rover dealership), the technicians cut through a cable harness that "irreplaceable", making the vehicle "undeliverable"."
TFL Finally Get Their Land Rover Defender but There's a Really Tense Moment
In case you haven't followed the whole Land Rover Defender TFL saga, you can do so by reading our articles (www.autoevolution.com
It's probably not available yet thru normal chains. Vehicle is too new.You can't replace the wiring harness?
Are they available on the assembly process? Then they should be available to repair a customer’s vehicle. Just my opinion yet current owner should have first call over future buyers. It's probably not available yet thru normal chains. Vehicle is too new.
Is that what you call that. We should start a thread of those instructions and call it What The Fuck Does That Mean ?Not surprising since the accessory instructions are in hieroglyphics.
Hmm. Haven't read all the posts in this thread, but actually looked at a couple online video reviews of the new Defender. Hmm, not bad I suppose. Considering something new next year or so. Not really going to wheel, so hmmm. I like how it appears to be not as luxurious as some of their other offerings but with all the electronics though, wondering how maintenance is going to look.
That the Defender is even considered an option for those seeking a purely road-bound vehicle, reflects how far off the mark it is.
Oh yeah. Well, I'll say, someone looking for an SUV that is not a no crap off-roader but something a bit different style/capability wise... What are our options? Jeep? No thanks. Bronco? Strong possibility. Defender? Hmm. Price point is up there.
Unless I am missing something there really isn't anything remotely exciting within a reasonable price range out there. Plus if I was going to wheel the Defender hard, you figure you are pushing well over $100k by the time you add some goodies. Juuuust a bit steep there for me (well a lot steep). Then there is still in my opinion kind of a certain douche factor for someone who gets that and just goes A to B in it.
For an on-road SUV, I'd buy a Tahoe, Expedition, or Sequoia. They'll get you through most forest service roads too.
For me an Audi Q something 3, 5, 7 depending on what size you want. For an on-road SUV, I'd buy a Tahoe, Expedition, or Sequoia. They'll get you through most forest service roads too.

Quattro system is awesome and great interiors.
Our ski car is a 2004 A4 Avant Quattro. Old enough not to worry about it yet young enough to have what I need.
Yep yet most all are now aren’t they?Yeah they are nice and I loved my A4 and A6 back in the day, but looking for something a bit different. I think Bronco may be the answer.
I mean the Audi SUVs are nice but rather bland imo. Just looking for something that would be a bit less refined and more fun to drive.
