Yeah, I'm 6'4" and that photo doesn't look like something I will fit in, unless taller seats? Also begs the question of how small are the actual windows? I like my 1990's LR fishbowl views...

That reminds me of the FJ cruiser. The visibility out of those is similar to a submarine! lol

Based on the spy photos of both the outside & inside, I'd guess that the "size" will be similar to the D1. I could live with that!!

They're poorly designed for off-pavement use. Toyota can suck my cock.

There's no way the Defender can be as bad as a 4Runner, so far as visibility is concerned. They'd have to start deleting windows. As for the FJ Cruiser... That's in a class of it's own. It may as well be a Lamborghini, in that regard.

Cheers,

Needs to be longer for rear leg room and cargo area.

Having the flat rear door will help as the sloping window in the RRC really cuts down on what you can put back there.

Screw rear leg room. If someone's in the back, they're not important enough for comfort.

Hopefully they won't make packaging sacrifices for a third row.

😁 For me it is the ease of getting the 2 Labs into the Rover. On the LWB they just jump in no issues. On the D1 the frt seat needs moved up to give them more space.

And yes, hopefully it doesn’t fall into the third row trend BS.

I know what that console is reminding me of now... It's also making me wonder why that stick moves in four directions.

What we've got there is an "analog stick". One way or another, that thing is hitting switches or otherwise triggering/obscuring signals.

It's a fucking arcade cabinet! (y)

I approve of such silliness. If you're going to do it, have fun in the process.

Cheers,

Kennith

Considering all the spy shots so far, I'm thinking this is it folks, from the side at least.

I think there might be a touch more panel detail, but even if that's dead-on accurate, it looks fine to me.

Maybe it's just being obscured. Those dash LCDs aren't exactly tight, and with a digital camera, then an LCD monitor...

It could be I'm just not seeing all the detail.

That protrusion at the top of the B pillar is right where your head goes.
No rear seat leg room.
How about a functional arm rest on the front passenger door?

Looked at another way, your observations are Land Rover being true to its heritage. When have Defenders ever had rear seat leg room or a functional arm rest?

Our Brasilian 110 had more rear leg room than my D1. Not by much yet Labs could get in without the frt seat being moved.

Driver’s door arm rest was the open window. There was barely room to actually sit. They are narrow in the seating area.

Looking forward to seeing the latest version.
