Saw something else in that German video that triggered a response. He said the plastic looked or felt cheap. Some things never change, everything I touch now made of plasctic breaks or cracks. Really gets annoying, it would be ok if you could buy newly made parts wit updated chemistry but no go. Just buying older stuff in better shape is only prolonging the issue for a while. some of the design is appaling and cheap. Why rely on a small bit of plastic that is suppoed to be holding heavier assemblies or swith packs that take a lot of abuse. It is just cheap and lazy. Sounds like it might still be happening.

So JLR can’t figure out how to sell a Defender in North America but Charlie can sell them for $250,000.......

And thats why the owner of ICON hates plastic and always replaces it with metal. My sisters Nissan has a beautiful interior. Mostly leather and metal or wood. Any vehicle over $40k should have minimal plastic on the interior.

Ive been following Twisted for a while. Really nice builds! I guess I imagined the new Defender to be similar to what they put out. Premium interiors with modern amenities, A powerful engine, and just minor exterior styling.

Yeah, solid axles, original exterior design, modern interior.....exactly what JLR could have done. And for a $200,000 less.

I've sold tiny rocks for far more than that, but that doesn't mean Tiffany & Co. can survive on them.

In fact, I’ll bet Charlie makes more money, net, than JLR makes on the Pretender. Let’s track 2020-2022.

He also hated the Defender and said he never wanted to do another one. That guy is fanatical about details, fit and finish. He said nothing matched and he basically had to re-do everything all over. Even spare parts were not up to his standards, too much hand work and eye finish for his digital eyeballs. It was a work of art though.

I've seen one in person at a car auction, and it was absolutely amazing. They're worth every last cent he's asking.

This guy is a tool. I didnt watch this video. But based on his other reviews he's just talking out of his ass.

He's supposed to be a tool. That's his character. You don't have to like the act to get something out of the show.

Demuro is valuable because he often mentions things nobody else does, and often reviews things nobody else does.

You also get to see things nobody else bothers to show you.

Unless you catch one at a dealership, his eventual review will be the best look you'll get inside and around one.

Can you give me examples of what exactly he mentions and shows us that no one else does? I seriously doubt his review will be the best one, but hey as long you like you him!
Chances are I will first see one up close at a Rover event. Youtube reviewers usually have no experience other than buying cars and making videos about them. The more videos the make the more money they have to buy other cars and make videos about them. That doesnt mean they know what they are talking about.

1: Infotainment convenience and general operation

2: Climate control notes

3: Everyday vehicle controls, and he's the ONLY one that covers them

4: Ride quality in greater detail

5: The obligatory quirks and features

6: Scale, as we know his height; within an inch, anyway

7: Ease of ingress/egress

8: Notes on interior quality

9: Reviews of vehicles nobody else will review

10: The only person who will focus on older, used cars you might wonder about

11: Pointing that camera at everything in the interior/engine bay/other

12: Close up shots that illustrate overall quality

13: Frequent notes on what it might be like to live with something odd

14: Looks inside owner's manuals, which is another part of attention to detail from a manufacturer

15: The ability to compare vehicles that have never been compared before

I mean, I could go on... Demuro absolutely shows you things nobody else does.

I did not say it would be the best review. I said it would be the best look you'd get inside and around one, and that's indisputable.

I completely disagree. There are much more qualified people doing reviews than this guy. Some of the points you mentioned are down right hilarious! Ill form my own opinion in person. After seeing what it can do with my own eyes.
You live in Charlotte, yet Ive never seen you at any Rover events?
You can spew all your bullshit online. Come outside and actually participate in the hobby you like to just talk about!!
