The brand will only succeed when they make redundant McGovern. That dude has sold himself as a pitcher batting .400, but is actually a first baseman batting below .200. They will sell enough to stay afloat and be passed around to another automaker is my guess.

Would I buy one? Probably not at these prices but I can see the appeal. However, given that LR is firmly planted as a luxury SUV brand, and Jeep (and soon Bronco?) is firmly planted in the utilitarian category, I don't know how many mainstream buyers they're going to attract. I hope my concerns are ill-founded, as I would like to see both the brand and the model succeed.

My feeling also. I like it...just not $70K worth of like it. Even when they start hitting the used vehicle market, I don't know if I could justify the cost.

I doubt that will happen given JLR is the only thing that adds value to Tata Motors.

again so full of shit. TATAMotors makes everything from trains to cheap cars for the really poor people in developing nations. They also make water filtration systems for developing shit hole countries. They make steel and that helps build cars.
Your just trying to troll people by saying that stupid shit. But you already said you can't afford the truck. So why should anyone at rover care what you think.

Tata Motors has been the worst performer on the S&P BSE Auto Index this year with a decline of over 53%.

Does Tata Motors build all those things or is it Tata Sons Pvt Ltd. Who infused Tata Motors with cash.

Tata makes all that stuff and more.Tata's only owner has nobody to inherit his fortunes or company. He had a great Jaguar collection and decided to buy the company, the Queen said you can't have Jaguar without also buying Land Rover. So he bought them both. Tata Motors by itself is nothing more than this rich guys hobby. As much as you love the doom and gloom and telling a guy who just bought an expensive car that he should be very carefull for some reason. You go and look for articles you can copy and paste but you really don't understand what your reading, because if you did you would know that the guy who wrote it is just a little less retarded than you, but not a lot less retarded. The only thought you have posted here is the fact that in your opinion the Piece of shit suzuki thing you once owned was the best vehicle you ever had. God fucking help you if thats the best god damn vehicle you have ever owned. Go get a real job you fucking looser and buy a good vehicle.

Well, that really hurt my feelings. Happy? Now for the climax you can go beat the wife and kids and kick the dog.

2005 Chevy Colorado. 250k A couple of half-shafts and wheel bearing assemblies, a power steering pump, and a water pump. I should retire it but just can't. I'd call that a good vehicle.

No I think a 2005 colorado is a piece of shit. Those early ones had all kind of trouble. Thats the truck people buy when they can't afford the silverado. But you already know that.

Or you work somewhere only arrived at by traveling some pretty shitty roads and needed something appropriate to get you there. But hey, last thing I want to do is spoil a good rage so.....

Now let me get this straight. By your way of thinking I'm a mook because I drive a Colorado that, over the years, has given me little to no trouble. But, I'd be somebody if I were to buy some used DII off a lot that, over the years, had had multiple owners. Each of whom had dumped the truck because it was nothing but trouble....

Yeah, I feel the same on the DII. Just never really wanted to own one. There are some pluses over the D1 yet the D1 just seems to suit me better. Especially as my ‘96 SD is totally stock.

Amen. The D2 has its advantages in certain areas, on-road handling and more interior room being two. Most of the changes don't seem like progress to me. There's a lot more complexity where there doesn't need to be, and it's not as well executed as it should have been. I'm happy with my D1, it feels like a better balance between function, reliability, ease of use, and sophistication (comparatively speaking - sophistication relative to a pre-GEMS Rover, not relative to the LR4). My LSE isn't stock, but it's not far from it. I hope to still be driving it in 2040.

I'm pretty sure I won't make it to 2040. If the pace of the building on this next truck stays as slow as it has been, it's going to be one of only a few of these left by the time i'm done. I bet 4,000 of these trucks have hit the junkyard since I started.

No your a nook because of the stupid shit you say. I would never own a Disco2.

I'll give you this, your a hateful little mother fucker. Gotta wonder where that comes from. Fat boy as a kid? Stupid/ugly/poor or did you hit for the cycle and check all the above. Anyway, just go right ahead with the name calling and shit. I guess it's cheaper than a fucking psychiatrist.

I have to ask, do you have kids? Did you ever find anyone willing to procreate with you. Because if so they must really be proud of dad, raging on the internet calling some guy he's never meant names.
