I'm back. The bug never goes away I guess.

Looking at a RRC LWB, original owner and great service history. Truck has what seems like a flywheel tick, but it only shows up when the truck is warm. Been ticking like that for a few years. Anything common I should be looking out for?

Thanks gents.

After searching a while, it seems like it may either be cam walk or a clogged cat. Seller told me over the phone he hears it louder near the bell housing and not up by the valve covers. He said it definitely isn't a rod knock or a typical lifter tick.

If it's a cat, you're in luck. That's an easy/relatively inexpensive fix. You should be able to narrow down the location when you look at it. If it's far away, you might consider a pre-purchase inspection (depending on the asking price...for a $2,000 truck it might not be worth it, for a 2004 Range Rover you'd be crazy not to). Anyway, what reason do you have to think that the seller knows what he's talking about? Better to evaluate it in person to form your own opinion or get a pro to do it for you. Hope it's something simple and you get it, the RRC is wonderful.

The guy has a bunch of Rovers it seems. Two RRCs, a D1, A series II and a couple other cars. He's looking to offload this one. It's on craigslist for 2500 w a GDE front bumper.
