779's vs. 751's

Can some one explain how the 751's (being shorter than the 779's) actually give more lift than the 779's when installed on a D2? Don't they both have the same spring rate?

I've seen the 751's installed and they did look taller than the 779's when installed. The thought as to why never really crossed my mind until yesterday when I was swapping out the 779's for 751's and took a break from drilling out a broken bolt. I noticed both springs looked almost identical.

The spring rate for the 751's is 230 lb/in while the 779's are only 180 lb/in.
So, no they don't have the same spring rate. The 751's will compress less than the 779's resulting in more lift.
