So draaronr... give me an answer to this question...

This guy is selling this rather tricked out RRC for $8000 with, let's say 200k on it. Some other guy from _____ is selling a very similar RRC with the same exact mods with only 100k on it. Considering they are both "Trail Rigs" which vehicle would you buy? We know the answer. Mileage does matter while also considering the fact of trail abuse but put that in consideration that they were both put through the same when I said "Trail Rig".

This is highly unlikely but mileage does matter.

Once again:
"drivetrain had about 40,000 when i put it in and i put probably 10,000 on it since then.
(tcase, driveshafts, axles, diffs, etc.) all was taken apart cleaned thoroughly and replace with all new seals, gaskets, and full synthetic fluids."

"150k on the truck"

no because it is a 19 year old susceptable to rust RRC. There are far more concerns than mileage.

What matters more a diesel truck with 500k on the odometer and 7k hours or a diesel truck with 10000 hours and 200k on the odometer?

So are you now calling draaronr a website geek and not an avid offroader?

Yeah he figured me out. I have never been off road in my life. I have never owned a rover, and this is my first car so I know nothing of off roading, rovers, or automobiles in general.

This is not confirmed and don't quote me on this one but there is some talk floating around that this truck was used by 1980's teen idols Kirk Cameron, Scott Baio, Jon Cryer and Ralph Macchio on an early 90's fishing expedition in Alaska.

With Macchio at the wheel 80 percent of the time.

Another story was during the restoration/rebuild process the stock radio deck had to be removed due to the fact the "Top Gun" soundtrack was stuck in the cassette deck and the unit could not be powered off...it was playing "Dangerzone" by all time great Kenny Loggins over and over again.

This truck is definitely a gem hiding in the rough with these newly released facts.

Reading through all this, I've determined several facts:

Erik has a Canadian background - probably French, too.
RW will never get 8k for that RRC. Not here, not on e-bay, not even in Canada
Drillbit is still a fucking dipshit
Discojo is a moron
and Aaron is.....well, Aaron has made a point, but his point will continue to be debated even though it does not really matter.

draaron, i love you in a very non-gay way. i agree about the mileage, it doesnt matter on a trail rig, but more so a daily driver. on the subject of this truck, i know this truck very very well. ryan and i went to college together. we actually traded trucks for a week. he drove my disco and i drove his rrc. you will be hard pressed to find better rrc. i vouch 100% for this truck.

LOL

if you're selling a vehicle there are a few basic details that you include

some things that come to mind are.....oh......let's see......hmmmm.....how about manufacturer, model, year, color, and mileage?

You can qualify it all you want but it comes down to a few basic details, folks.

As I've said before.....The only thing Canada is good for is keeping the French out of the States.
