I sent him a message through craigslist saying I was interested in it, and left him my #. He called me promptly this morning. Stated he owned it for 11 years, and did all the work himself. Claims to have moved from NC to NJ and wants to buy a house. Then I asked him what he payed for it 3 weeks ago.....he was silent for a moment. Then he asked "what do you mean" Then I told him I didnt want to buy a truck from a dickfaced liar. click.

I love it....the phone call was priceless. I mean i understand people trying to make a buck but he picked a shitty way of doing it. The land rover community is a bit small especially after I have been around for about 12 years.
I hope he loses his ass on it. But who knows maybe he will come out even. BTW he payed me $7500+$500 shipping to get it to NJ. So he has $8000 in it. I didnt have to sell the truck immediatly so I told myself I was going to do a bit of filtering before I sold it to some....dickhead....and I wanted to make sure it went to a good home. So of course this guy filled me with a good line of bullshit saying he was going to build it up even more and he would keep me updated on what he did to it. He said, "Dont worry I am going to take good care of it."" ha ha....sure you are.
I mean I know I wasnt going to get out of it what i put into it...of course not...I have seen to many LR go up for sale to not know that. But I did build an awesome truck and if i was going to sell it for what i did I wanted it to go to someone who was going to take care of it. I made what I needed to off of it.....nothing compared to what I put into it....but I certainly didnt want it to go to a joisey c*nt like him.
Thing that pisses me off the most is that he said he did all of the work on it and set up this entire bullshit lie about how he moved to NJ from NC I mean its like the guy had been stalking me and just took over my identity to make a buck on a truck that you dont make bucks on......BRILLIANT!!!!
He has no idea what has been done to the truck and I hope he blows out one of those front 36" tires running down the highway with a 7" lift and totals it so he gets what.....insurance money.....and what does insurance pay for a 1989 RRC.....about $2.
