Throwing this up here before it goes to a part out thread. Verified exhaust gas getting into the coolant today. Motor still runs, just be prepared to fill it with coolant every hour or so.

minimal rust for a northeast truck. door sills have rust but are NOT soft or rusted through. some bubbling under the safari windows (seals replaced before I bought the truck) some bubbling on the pass side lower corner of the rear door. body has scratches and dings, as it was wheeled. rear floor is rusted, but I'll throw in a new floorpan and crossbars I ordered from the UK

the good stuff:
brand new bilsteins out back, good shape bilsteins up front
245/75/16 cooper discoverer AT3 load range E tires, very good tread
terrafirma HD steering
new poly panhard rod bushings
wheel bearings brakes and seals all done within the last year on all 4 corners
driver's side swivel seals done like 2 months ago
new rear rubber driveshaft joint thing
D90 front brakes
new bosch alternator
new three quarter window seals and rear window seal, but the three quarter seals are splitting already. typical britpart.
new headliner
magnaflow stainless catback
radiator replaced with nissens all metal one last year
new oil cooler lines
water pump and accessory belt replaced right before I bought the truck (2/14)
rear sunroof sealed, front sunroof works great
only one rear jumpseat
bolt on diff guards front and rear
new copper/nickel brake lines everywhere except engine bay (will include those not installed), new soft lines on all 4 corners
patched driver's front floor pan and repaired seat mount.
truck drives great otherwise, probably could use a steering box. trans shifts perfect, tease perfect.
156k miles

looking for $800 for the whole kit and caboodle. not interested in doing the head gaskets, ready to move onto the next vehicular headache, and I could use a pickup instead. the truck has a lot of good parts and life left, a fresh set of gaskets and it will serve you well. I bought it from a reseller who got it at a dealer auction on a trade in from the original owner. you can tell the truck was taken care of. before this leak came up, I wouldn't have hesitated on taking this thing across the country and posting pictures all over expedition portal with a snow peak titanium spork and table and six yeti coolers showing everyone how cool I was. In traffic this past summer in 90F heat with the AC on full blast it ran 205F. As of now I'm keeping the roof light bar and front floor mats (not OEM) for my buddy's D1, and the thule racks for myself.

I'm thinkin' on this one...

Let me know. I'd rather keep it whole and sell it to someone to fix up and drive or wheel it for this price. I know I can make more parting and then scrapping the rest but I don't have the time.

I'll get some updated pictures this afternoon. I'm out in wading river. Truck can be driven but you should stop every so often and check the coolant level. I have an aftermarket temp gauge on it so you can monitor as you drive as well. Currently has no clutch fan (it self-destructed) but I have an override switch on the electric fans so you can just use those, or bring that metal chevy fan and we can put it in before you head off.

Just do the head gaskets...
You've already serviced or replaced every other system on this truck.
Stick it in the garage and do it as time permits.
Head gaskets are considered routine maintenance on these trucks.

I'm not touching it, it's frivolous to spend money on right now. And it isn't going to take up room in my garage either.

They can also be knocked out in a day by someone proficient, two days by someone competent. Will Tillery used to offer kits in the $600 range for everything including milled heads.

Do you still have the round spotlights as seen on the brush bar in your avatar?

Nope, sold those a year or so ago

That's if there is nothing else wrong when I pull it all apart. I love this thing, but I'm ready for a new truck and I already have it in my driveway. No offense to anyone really. I'd rather have the couple hundred bucks than spend it, and the disco doesn't "make sense" for me right now.

I'm now shaking the piggy bank,( and the kid's) .........heavy duty cogutating.....

If 800 of us on here donate a dollar each, will you put a cinderblock on the accelerator and send it off a massive jump into the woods?

The only reason it isn't getting a Viking funeral at my buddy's property upstate is bc I'm trying to squeeze every dollar I can since I just bought a house. So yes.
