It just rolled over 125,555.5 miles last night. It is a 4.0 and was a very late model year production 96 (05/96) with the new style 1997 model year valves that didn't have the same issues as the other valves. Thus, no need for a valve job.

Where in VA?

There are several good shippers out there. I bought a d90 in Jacksonville, FL and shipped it in an enclosed trailer with a reputable company for about $800. The only downside was it took about 2 1/2 weeks to get it as they wait until they have several vehicles that need shipping in the general area before they head this way. There are other shippers that could bring it sooner but they were a couple hundred dollars higher. If I had to do it again I'd spend the extra bucks and get the Rover sooner. I think the name of the shipper was DAS but I recognize their shipping ad on ebay sometimes. http://www.dasautoshippers.com/

When I bought this Disco I jumped on SW airlines for less than $150 one way and drove it back. I flew out early that morning and was back within 24 hours. I normally would have shipped it but I was way too excited to wait. I made that trip again 2 weeks later to pickup the roofrack and some other things that the original owner had neglected to include in the sale.

My brother and I did that round trip in a little over 28 hours. He slept I drove, I slept he drove etc...

Let me know what else you need...

Someone needs to buy it soon...that someone could be you.

How much would shipping be to VA?

Garland shop around on quotes. I would bet from OK to VA you could get it for $400. I have a friend in the auto shipping business so if you are really serious PM and I can give you his name and info. He quoted me $472 from OK to FLA..a lot of them work of off bids. So if they get a bid and they are passing through OK (I-40/I-44/I-35 MAJOR JUNCTIONS) they can swing by and get it b/c they are already en route to the east coast area.

Cruise control repaired

Cruise control operable now. In case that was keepin' yall away... Replaced the vacumn line through the firewall along with the grommet. Works like a champ now.

Oh and it will have a new windscreen(windshield) in it when you buy it also.

Anywho...

Hate to tell you guys, but the truck was bought by me :) and driven 1100 miles to North Carolina.

I love this thing, I'm putting in a 2" RTE and OME lift as we speak.

Thanks again Ross.

Do you still own it? Curious where this TReK '96 truck is at now... give me a PM. Trying to round them all up for a 25th anniversary reunion...

It's been a while since I talked to Chris, the guy that bought my baby, he sold it several years ago. I've been looking for it since.

Chessie not included in THAT price...

He is training for upland now. Working on whoaing. His dad learned to point and we are attempting to see what he'll learn. He didn't run after the rabbits when we were pheasant hunting which is a good started. He busted one point from one of the other dogs but I doubt he does that again.

He definitely loves to duck hunt though. I can't open the back of the rover this time of year without him wanting to go. In the pic he loaded up before I could take the pic.

Great dogs though. I replaced my best friend on 11 years with this one. He's getting there.

My favorite traits is their relentless desire to protect me and my stuff....well her stuff.

Our first did not need training. Or current is a bitch that is tough to train.
