Just thought that maybe the tech who installed the ECU for got program the key fob to that new unit? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks
So you got a new ECU and matching alarm and are trying to use your old KeyFOB?

If Yes, the new Alarm will need to be programmed to accept your old fob.

On the 97 it has to programmed. The earlier models had a magic sequence to reset, but these are programmed. Have you tried your old fob? I was thinking there was a separate box for the alarm??? So I would think swapping out the ECU would leave the old fob working.

I havent been in the guts of my 97 in a while though.

ECU and alarm are matched set otherwise your locked out. Taking back to shop that installed unit must have forgotten to reset fobs.
