Changed out fuel filter no difference, fuel pump, still runs rough. Changed out spark plugs no resolve. Cleaned out MAF no difference all the time no CEL? Bought a known working MAF installed and would not start. Unplugged the MAF started right up. Installed original MAF started right up however still no power on acceleration. Any ideas on what to look at or test is appreciated. Boxster

If you have any diagnostic tools, you could try watching the O2 sensors' readings as you drive. If they both show lean when you try to accelerate, either the hose from MAF to the intake is cracked and air is bypassing MAF, or you don't have enough fuel (due to failing fuel pump, regulator, or clogged filter).

The alternatives - broken substrate in catalytic converters choking the exhaust flow, or massive misfire.
