Speedometer won’t register past 60mph at speed. Then when at stop it’s at 10mph. What’s could be the problem? Any thoughts appreciated.

Do you have a monitoring "app" insert Kennith's ire here... to see if the speed is reported via the computer. If speed is correct on the app and not the speedo, the VSS is good but the speedo is bad or vice versa. I use Torque pro for things like this all the time. it will also tell you verbally if you wish that it has detected an error whether is throws a dash light or not. Some DTCs will and some will not.
I think some of them have a buffer mounted on the back of the cluster. Kind of sounds like that or the speedo head itself.
I noticed that odometer is not working as well. Could this be related to the buffer? Is the buffer easy to access?
I think its behind the instrument cluster. But look at a schematic before you start tearing it apart. The odometer will be related.
