So….back to needing this truck gone. Any interest in the whole truck as it sits? Parts list is unchanged.
I’m not much help. I will be back in St. Louis in early November and still need some rear cargo area interior parts. Primarily, I need the trim around the alpine windows if it doesn’t have rear air and some other odds and ends back there. To simplify things I’d take all the trim panels behind the rear seats. Mine is cooked. Totally get it if it is too much trouble.

I’d really like to sell all of the Offroad bits and just include the body for shipping. If it’s here when you’re here, we can go grab whatever off of it.

I built it for a friend. He drove it daily and wheeled it. He decided to sell it. Another buddy bought it. Due to marital issues, it sat for several years. The body rotted away beyond repair. He has another stock D1 but has decided not to swap the parts over.

I should probably move the listing to vehicles for sale because I have no time or urge to part it out. The parts list is solid. Simone could build a hell of a truck.

Yeah, that's the who's who of D1 builds. And unfortunately I think RoverTym is not in business now [I attempted to contact him a few months ago and the site was gone.. hopefully I'm wrong].

It’s a good thing I sold my tow vehicle or I’d probably buy it. Selling it has helped me with my hoarding addiction for these Land Rovers and Triumphs.

I’ll have it shipped to you.
That would put me $1 over my budget. 😊 All joking aside, auto transport, like most shipping, has become cost prohibitive.

Im going to try to be more disciplined and save some cash to get one repainted. The closest Maaco is 3 hours away. The shops here, directly quoting… “We start at $10,000 for a full repaint.” I’m hopeful to find a better deal but not holding my breath.

Id like to see yours with its respray if you feel like posting some photos.

Use a roller... :)

My buddy shoots them with tractor white.. on the cheap, it works well.

He aslo swears by rustoleum .. mixes it with (a LOT of) acetone.. It dries before your next pass, so you can lay it down really well, then shoots a sandable clear coat over the top.. it comes out pretty darned well.

I ended up flying to St. Louis for the recent trip. If you do send it to scrap before I get there if you’d save the cargo area trim panels (all of the vinyl type stuff and seat belt escutcheons) and set them aside I promise to get them.

It’s in Jackson Mo. so about 1.5hr south of me. It’s still sitting in his driveway. You’re welcome to drive down and grab stuff.

I talked to my buddy. I agreed to move it to my place and part it out. But in one last effort to sell the whole truck, he will take $3000 without the front bumper. I can toss in my old SG bumper and make it $3500. I’m finding that shipping prices are out of control on the big parts.

Save me the interior parts and I will get them when I make it back to St. Louis.

The rear axle was from Keith. Moser 30 spline shafts, Yukon Zip locker, Yukon 4:11s, machined spindles. The front is factory with the third built by GBR with 4:11s.

I may have what’s left sold to a guy. I should know today. Shoot me a list and I’ll see if it’s stuff he wants.
