I've got a 95 D1 and I have the SRS, Service engine, and the ABS. How can I read these and get them to go away?

What is the full when cold on the expansion tank. Its black and not marked.

I have a leak on passenger side I'm guessing its coming from the windshield any tips on fixing it or does the window need to be resealed? No sun roofs and the front carpet is wet.

Thanks,
Eric

Do a battery reset. Whatever comes back, scan if you can and get the wiring diagrams out and start checking things.

Full on the expansion tank is seeing coolant in the tank. Roughly half way full is where I like to see mine. I like to know if there is a leak sooner and I don't want the coolant expanding and overflowing.

Leak on the passenger side, I would pull the lower trim off and look at the drain pipe, make sure its not broke or clogged and dripping on all of your electronics. Mine is a 98 but I believe that should still be roughly the same. Correct me if I'm wrong.

A battery reset will do nothing for your issues.

SRS light can only be reset with decent diagnostic tools.

Service Engine light on a D1/RRC means nothing more than it's been more than 52 thousand miles since it's been reset. The post by LRflip above says all you need; you can also pull that relay altogether.

ABS light requires investigation; you (if you have a good diagnostic tool) or a shop can check it, otherwise you can do it with little more than a paperclip.
Here's the procedure for a Range Rover Classic (which should have the same connector as a 95 D1, of which I am not sure);
on a late Classic, there's a blue connector under the driver's seat; you need to check Rave for a 95 D1 (download it from here if you don't have it).
The same procedure for an OBD-2 D1.

The leak on the front passenger carpet is likely from a clogged A/C drain nipple (under the body, close to where transmission tunnel bends into the firewall, on the passenger side). Besides that, I believe there's a drain for the HVAC air intake under the windshield. If it catches water and it has nowhere to go, it'll drain into the passenger compartment.

re the expansion tank....there should be an 'x' piece inside the tank. Normally 'full' is just covering the top of the 'x'.

Check with Falconworks in Tucson about the ABS. They can rebuild it or send you the parts if you want DIY, but being a safety item, you cannot screw it up or sadness and regret will surely follow.

There's a relay in the passenger side footwell. I think it's brown. It has a sticker over a hole that you can poke a paperclip through to reset the service engine soon light.
Hey guys, I don't see a brown relay in there. Can one of you, with rave access, indicate wire colors, specific relay location , etc, to help nail down which relay i need to pull [to reset the Service Engine lamp]?

Thanks!

Just remove the whole thing..

An empty gun won't stop the bad guy.. a broken ABS unit won't stop your rig :)

*i understand that both examples have a solid "do no harm" mode when they aren't working...

So.. I found the "brown relay".
It was *NOT* under the passenger kick-panel with the other group of relays.
To be clear as to the location, here is where it is located on my 1995 NAS Disco-1 (14CUX, PRE-GEMS):

Under the passenger seat (Starboard side..aka: Right side).

There is a sparsely populated relay rack under there, on the front-outboard side just under the front of the seat.
It is a large rectangular module that looks like a jumbo sized relay (about 3 typical relays long x 1 wide).
It does have a little Land Rover oval sticker on top.. that covers the pin hole. It is called the Emissions

Pics follow (you'll have to look away if you are an anal-retentively OCD Clean Freak ... this disco deals with long haired dogs, children, and lots of other dangers:

Interesting, they must have moved it between 95-98. Good information to know.
