Had the P38 in shop. was dripping on foot, some drain was clogged and fixed.

Worked just fine for about a week, then just stopped cooling all together.

could be a coincidence.

Any recommendations?

Mine seemed to do that a little while ago. The shop I brought it to for some other work would not test the level, they said they just drain and recover and add back until it is full no matter what the repair is. So I did not let them work on it and now our cooling season is over. I did notice a lot of black residue around the AC pump and fittings, not sure if that is related or not.

Have you guys fixed this shit yet? First you need to make sure the system has a full charge in it. If it does do this.

With the engine running and the ac turned on, hit the front of the ac compressor clutch with a screwdriver handle. Not hard, just kind of tap the front of it. If the compressor engages then you might need to tighten up the air gap in the compressor clutch.

There was a bulletin about another battery feed to the compressor also. A lot came with another battery cable that went right to the battery post and a harness of smaller gauge wire. It had a small gold colored device of some kind. It's been 20 years since I've looked at that bulletin but I could probably find it if you need it
