We need to sell our beloved D1 - we just don't have the time to fix up and maintain. 165K, runs, has snorkel. Needs work including leaks fixed, buffing, other cosmetic, likely some mechanical. Pretty hard to assess value based on CL - not many of these for sale right now. Would love your feedback on sales value. TIA.56531

Need more details, engine, auto, trim level, time frame, repairs needed etc. Probably 3k to 5k locally based on what you have so far. Might be more at an auction site or places like bring a trailer, etc.

What you've got there is about $5 worth of information that people will skip right by.

You need more information and better pictures. Photography should take NO LESS than half an hour.

That's what it takes to get all the angles once and the detail shots to avoid requests.

Cheers,

Also need info about/photos showing typical corrosion areas: door jambs, under carpets in footwells and cargo area, frame & underbody. Location, radius you're willing to travel for a sale, list of all the parts replaced/repairs done and at what mileage.

A friend of mine runs some health clinics in Kenya and said the last time he was over there he got wind of locals importing North American model Discovery 1 vehicles and selling them for the equivalent of US$10,000. Apparently there is a demand over there. Maybe post on Nairobi craigslist?

Thanks all for the feedback - I will be pricing below market for someone who wants to fix up and/or take the time to catalog all the features and defects, take high quality photos, export to Africa :), etc.
