Are there any AEL Fuel Pump Alternatives out there? Any Cross references or cheaper options? My 98 D1 pump works just fine but I'm only seeing 30psi. Regulator is working, lines are all clear, fuel filter is brand new, fuel pump was a rock auto purchase 2 years ago... I'd love to put a new pump in for fun but not at OEM prices lol.

There is a pump you can swap into the pickup. However…I’ve had better luck just buying the whole shebang. Rock Auto had one for under $200 with pickup. I’ve had one in my truck for years with no issue. LRD has one for $300.

Just the pump….

Can confirm firm the airtex pump seems to work just fine. Swapped one into a parts truck to get it moving here and seems to work ok. Just a bit of labor to strip down the housing/sender to re-fit it.

You can slap a 98 Corvette Fuel Pump into the D1 AEL Fuel Pump Assembly. Plenty of kits on amazon, ebay, or buy it locally from an auto parts store. I slapped a Delphi unit into my 98 LSE with a new sock and it worked great. If the rest of your assembly works you'll only spend around 65.00 tops.

30 psi is fine! Slightly low, but fine.

don’t go looking for problems for your solution
I definitely hear ya. I had bench tested a stock injector at one point and I didn't see a difference in pattern from 30-40psi. Butttttttt.... I love working on this old thing so why not.
