Has anyone installed an after market alarm system on their discovery? My remote central locking get's slower and more out of sync every day. Do they make alarm kit's to fit D1's?

Cheers

hey fellow norcaler

hey, i just wanted to respond to yor post from last week. Have you found any locale rover shops yet? if not i can tell you who I've heard of.

theres west coast british in livermore

http://www.offroadexperience.com/wcb/ never been there but they seem experienced and knowledgable based on the website. when i was looking for my rover i called them and one of the mechs was pretty generous with his time in answering all my stupid questions.

theres Roverland in san francisco. 415-648-0885. i have taken my rover there, and they are good, Phillips the owenr and head mechanic there. He is super knowledgable and direct and honest. He doesn't try and scare the shit out of you like a lot of shops do by telling you you absolutley have to "fix/replace/repair this, and its gonna cost you 1 billion dollars." He lays it out and tells you what its gonna cost what you need now. what can wait, and whats minor. He's pretty damn busy and it's sometimes hard to get an appointment.

He's not cheap but he's good. with mechaincs there seems to be a corallary there that needs to be respected.

i know there are one or 2 shops down in the south bay and about the same in the norht bay but those would be a big pain in the ass for you to have to go to.

what work do you need done?
