Well,

I am game (no pun intended) so long as my bank account allows it when you go. I can attack, or defend myself against anything, but I don't know sport hunting. You will have to show me proper hunting practices, if I am to participate in any hunts. I don't know sport hunting, only survival, assault and self defence. I will pit my graces against anything on this earth, though, and I will gladly pull my weight, as well as contribute to the overall safety of the group.

It sounds like fun. I am all about adventure, man. Count me in. I'll PM you my phone number tomorrow so we can keep in touch, as well as organize a meeting beforehand.

Cheers,

Kennith

you would have a great time.
the fun and adventure is endless.
from Mombas in the hut rafters to babboons sniffing your face in the morning.
from Leopards drinking at the pool at 4am to cobras sunning themselves on the rocks
in the garden.
from hyraks (little woodchuck like creatures living in the rocks) trying to pee on you
to the GoAway birds screaming in the trees telling the whole bush where you are.
i can go on and on.
again your welcome and i will keep in touch.
cheers
jim

its hard to avoid these guys when trying to walk and stalk.
they show up and yell at you.it sounds like they are yelling Play Ball.

when walking along the cliffs you come upon many Bush Men caves with cave paintings and all

From the cliffs back to the Savannah
this was a government game consession the size of N.Y. state.
Hunting was allowed by permit only.
I mostly did Photo shooting here.
you could get close to the animals in the truck but step out and watch out you imidiately became a human again and not part of the vehical

I guess I don't get it. If you dont' have a problem with people shooting these:

Then why such beef with guys who want to shoot these? It's relatively the same management practice used to manage elephants, buffs, lions, etc...

Dont' get me wrong, I enjoyed reading through this post. You and Kevin have both posted some great pics and experienced some incredible hunts. I guess I just don't get your logic on some things.

I'm hoping to go back in '08. I haven't decided what I'd like to hunt quite yet.

I was referring to the two pics I have now attached. I don't know why the links didn't work before. And for whatever reason, I am unable to embed images in my message.

hey james
i think you have taken my statement wrong.
your trophies are awsome congratulations.

no way i have a problem as to say a PROBLEM.

i just dont like the way the mount looks is all.
i dont think it does the animal justice or respect to mount it from the neck up on a floor pedestal.for me it has to be a full mount as thats what gives a Giraffe its natural look.of course this is hard to do unless you have the room for it.
ive had the oportunity (in my sites) to take a huge free roaming Nyala but i would not pull the trigger as i know i could only full body mount this magnificent creature to do it the respect its beauty deserves.
as well as i would not mount a full body Babboon in position of holding a toilet roll for the loo or holding a drink tray for the doorway entrance.
have you seen this before??
i think its disrespectfull to an animal that could tear me to pieces and eat me.
without our guns in the bush we are most definately not the top of the food chain and to me this commands respect.

your animals are awsome how did you take the Giraffe a bow i hope.
happy hunting
jim

I get what you're saying now, and where you're coming from. I guess I understood you wrong. The giraffe is a pretty slick animal. They're easy to drive up to while in the cruiser, but once you are on foot it's a whole 'nother ball game. I've taken blesbok, impala, blue wildebeest, duiker and steenbok. I hunted with InAfricaSafaris. They have a site at www.inafricasafaris.com . They're also located in the Northern, or Limpopo Province. When I go back in '08 I hope to get a few springbok, possibly kudu, and who knows what else.

JAMES MAN you want to hunt Springbok i have the place for you.
The Karoo Desert.
you will spend most of the time on your belly and elbows (unless your a truck hunter, which i doubt) to get a 300 to 600 yd shot on common , white , and black springbok as well as black wildebeasties , klipspringers, Steinboks ,all free roaming.
if you read the thread you have seen the Desert and the trophies.
you can hunt from the tops of the mountains to the flats below.
this was one of the best hunts ive ever done as i truly learned long range shooting.
i recently purcased a rem mod 700 in 22-250 just to go back to the Karoo.

I am headed to Kenya in July with the famdamly. I cant justify me gittin all the fun.

its an experience you will never get out of your blood.
i hardly mean hunting.
i mean the people , black and white ,tribal people.
the sunsets
the nature
the life
if i win the lottery i will by a piece of land the size of N.Y. state and spend the rest of my life there.

This is the GO AWAY bird.
it sounds like hes yelling go away go away .
he follows you around in the bush like the Babboons.
he landed in the tree i was in
and started yelling.

unbelievable stuff,
jim
