Alternative spare tire mounts/carrier for D1?

Been looking into alternative means to carry a jumbo spare, 33", on the back of a D1. Flipping and/or shifting the OEM door mount seems to be the most common, with warnings about adding stress to the door. Anyone know if (or tried to fit) a Defender type Mantec carrier on the back of D1? I'm looking of options that will continue to make opening the rear door still one step, trying to stay a way from a two step process ie. (unlatch and swing away tire carrier then open door). TIA

The safari gard worked well for us with 33s. It just replaces the original carrier. We’re happy with it on our D1. We’re also running a SG rear bumper so clearance may be slightly different but it did run slightly prior to the swap

I like the roller attached to the carrier. It would be equally useful with the factory mount and factory bumper, I wish I thought of that.
33s are different, the lighter ones are okay on the door as long as you don't leave it open for long periods of time (the door jamb/D-pillar is not that stiff).
