Okay, today I was out and about when I saw a nice moded D1
It cought my eye. So I dirve into the parking lot where the guy works to get a closer look, as I am in the process of moding my Disco and was curious as to his setup.

As I was getting out to take a look I noticed a guy who worked at the same business was looking at me like I was crazy, so I smiled and told him I had a Discovery and was looking at the settup on his coworkers Disco, He still looked at me like I was crazy. So I kinda smiled and chuckled as I aked him if he thought that was strange.
He just looked at me and after about a minute he said it was a little odd and continued to look at me as if I had two heads.

Now don't get me wrong. I would also keep an eye one anybody messing around my coworkers/buddys rig. But after seeing that I was a friendly chap and also had a Discovery, I was expecting the guy would ease up on the death stare he had on me. But He never did! :smilelol:

I never got any closer then 3 feet form the rig and was very friendly to the guy. So why am I odd?

Give it to me straight guys! Am I a freak!:ack: or do I just have Disco fever:D

Not at all! I have had a bunch of people pull into my driveway in Vermont with other rovers just to stop by and say hi and talk about the trucks, i don't find it odd at all...everyone has always been really friendly

It was in Orcherds at a bodyshop. It was a Dark gray D1 with a ARB winch bumper, lift, rear roof rack And Discoverer STT tires. Not sure what lift he had but it looked about 3 inchs.

I take pictures, write stuff down in a little notebook, measure stuff. People tend to leave me alone.

Thats sort of a weird response....owning a Lightweight and a 110, I get people (even groups of people) standing around my car sometimes.

I am always polite. I wonder what his beef is....isn't that half the allure of owning a cool/modded truck?
