Front done. Cut a solid inch or more and covered wih a set of D2 flares. Looks really clean to me, I like it. :)

Picture was taken on my shop lift so the tire is drooped of course.

Sweet. Need a pic off the lift.
I'm assuming the flares aren't new . What did you use to adhere the flares to the body?

Picture of the shop lift? Lol. It's a two post lift. ;)

The flares are from a 2002 D2 I had recently. I used 3M super duty emblem adhesive tape. (the grey colored factory type stuff) I have a huge roll of it. Also used a couple screws on the "lip" inside the fender. They are very secure.

Doug, could you share photos or do a write-up on how you cut the sheetmetal? I really don't want to lift another Disco, but I'd love to roll at least on 235/85s. If I could do it without a body lift, it would be awesome.

You mean like this?

This is a pic of the last D1 I had for a few months, Oslo blue 98 se7 Automatic - just sold her locally and bought the current 1996 willow green 5 speed.

wasn't enough for 35. 33 and no lift might be possible.

Flexi flare will be the most cutting, but worth it, especially of you do the rear doors the right way and keep the inner liners up front.

Pm. The purple line on the front is d2. On the rear I already cut the rear for d2 so I didn't mark it. The door was just replaced in that pic

I hardly cut much out of this truck and they fit. The rear door is 100% intact. Fitting 235's would be easy.

It's looking good Doug

Are the 235/85s going to clear the front corners of rear wheelwells?

Here she is after the weekend of installing the lift, brake line mods, spacers to level, extending the shock mounts, removing both sway bars and installing a stereo - lol.

Net 4 inches of lift front and rear. OME MD 764 springs in front and RTE "3 inch" (really about 2) rear with 1.5 inch spacer.

Rides great! But I may put the front sway back in as she is a bit nose happy cornering at any moderate speed.<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v198/desertboatco/?action=view&current=e6b051df.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v198/desertboatco/e6b051df.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos" /></a>
