Why in the fuck does my Simpson ARB III sit crooked as hell?

It's straight on the rack. The bottom of it is perfectly level with the ground (yes, I used a level to check) but it sits wonky as fuck.

I bought it used so I don't have any instructions on packing it. I slid the poles for the extensions out of the pockets, and twisted the one inside pole so it slides in correctly.

The high side is the "center" of the tent where it folds open so it apparently doesn't go down at all. Why is the other side sit so low like that?

There has to be something I'm missing when I pack it up, but I can't figure it out.

I emailed ARB and they said it's "normal" and the extra room on the low side is to store sleep gear.

At least I know I wasn't packing it wrong or anything.

You've got the tent installed so it opens to the driver's side? Pulling the velcro straps too tight will cause that effect too.
