a buy back from the insurance company can be huge....if you plan to keep the vehicle.

looks like it got smacked pretty good in the rear corner.. DID IT BEND THE AXLE?, frame? break a trailing arm?

Was it parked when hit? What were the conditions?

Does it still run and drive?

All questions on establishing a value on a wrecked vehicle.

Im not sure if it bent the axle or the frame. If it did it couldn't be much at all. Nothing looked really bad then again it was 2 in the morning when this happened. Like I said it didn't crack or bust any glass and i can still open and close the back doors. The tailgate could open and close with a bit of prying too.

It was parked when it hit. You can see in this picture the front of the vehicle was lined up with that grass line where it was parked.

Not sure if it still drives. It looks to me like I could just bang in the metal and it would still drive. Before it ran and drove perfect. It was my "nice" vehicle.

hate it when they are in park and hit. but it happens. it does look clean.....but unless you are fixin to keep i would walk away...

a totalled car can be a real treat for the current owner and a nightmare for a prospected one..

you know the truck...if its worth buying back then you know better that anyone and will do so.
at auction...1k right now would be a figure that you may expect to see.

Give me a call if you need anything.

BTW...i have a white one with all the visible parts needed to fix that one.

Thanks Will for getting back to me. I think its totally worth it to somebody else that needs the parts. Apart from that corner the rest of the truck was really nice. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever except the brakes which I have the new set going with it and the headliner started drooping near the front sunroof. I just don't have the time or the space to part out the truck from here where I live otherwise I could get more than 1k easily just from the rest of the parts. As well as trying to repair it myself if I were to keep it.

Right now an offer of $700 might be on the table.

The insurance guy I was dealing with decided to take a small vacation from Thursday to Monday and the nice lady I got instead quoted me a different higher price to buy the vehicle back from them. So I argued the total price on a few options she failed to quote back to me for them to raise the totaled price. I got $29 less than what I originally paid for the vehicle so I'm happy.

Im not buying the vehicle back. Sorry for any inconvenience this may occur. It was going to be more trouble than it would have been worth. Basically I would just have been recooping the money l lost buying the brake rotors/pads and decals in the entire deal when I can just list those items separately.

If you don't mind us asking...which insurance company you dealing with? Gives me a chance to find it at the auction or bone yard
