Posted this elsewhere, but haven't gotten a real response yet... anyone here put their LR on the Auto Train? They have a stated rule about only factory roof racks allowed, but I'm curious to know what they actually do in practice and if my FrontRunner Slimline would prevent me from loading.

I know a guy that used it to round trip his NAS ST90 to Safari HP for a full restoration. Overall experience was great. He did not have a rack on his truck tho.

Hum. The only LR OEM roof rack I remember being offered was on a Range Rover Classic. Roof bars on a D1 and guess that could be considered a “roof rack”. Not answering your question exactly yet would look into max height in general and say yep, this is a factory roof rack.

NAS 90/110, D1, D2, LR3, LR4, Pretender, etc all have been available from the dealer with full-size roof racks.
