The wife and I are heading to Mexican Hat to start the Utah Backcountry Route - expect to get there around Oct. 5th. I figure we'll spend two or three days (or more?) in Moab since we have never explored any of the trails there (plus there is Arches and Canyonlands of course) and then continue on up the route.
Anyone want to join us for part or all? It would be great to hit the Lockhart Basin portion of the trail before getting to Moab - but I wouldn't do it solo. We're in a D1 lifted with 32" tires - otherwise stock, no lockers, so we'll be looking at trails rated 1-4.
