"Vehicle in mint condition with original 'showroom' appearance. Professional maintained in a temperature/humidity controlled private garage. "

they must have an enormous garage storage bill.

Nice truck though.

No doubt.....That it is a spiffy looking truck,

But with that kind of a reserve I surely would expect it to be more original and untouched or in the least a spare low mileage NAS 110 thrown in.

It's worth that much to someone willing to pay that much ;)

It's not restored to concourse (factory new) specs, lot's of upgrades, so that actually lowers it's value to someone who know's series vehicles and wants one representative of factory new.
Actual value to a serious Series person would be 10-20k at most.

But, like I said, if some dimwit buys it for that, that's what it's worth to them.

First I tend to agree with you.

The guy is trying to sell it though as a 100pt. Concours truck. (To say that he really needs an award or two to back it up, and for that price it had better be best-of-show at Pebble Beach.)

There are people who collect such things and keep them as museaum pieces. I have a friend who has an old coal truck (Diamond T) that he could easily show, and he never drives it. You should see the fire engine that he never drives, not even for parades...

I have seen an IIa 88 that was in better than new condition (let's face it, Rover factory showroom is not concourse.) Every single bolt must have been cleaned and polished prior to assembly. To me, it just looked wrong.

Of course my 109 SW is at the far other end of the scale, but when it drives it just seems right.
