Brilliant, BRILLIANT episode. I'm amazed at the Samurai - I knew they were actually pretty reliable and functional, but I'm AMAZED that a vehicle with NO locking diffs at ALL made it through, and even all the way to the end.

The Rangie was amazing too. So was the FJ - because it broke so much. Really just awesome and amazing.

I will say that they went about going down that dune the complete wrong way. Next time... drive backwards. Balancing the entire vehicle on the front steering wheels like that is dangerous - put the steering in the back and it's much more difficult to go sideways and rol.

The idea is good, but after watching it for about 30 min I find those guys pretty irritating. They tend to bicker over dumb stuff. I know its part of the act, but they tend to do much unneeded shit like building bridges when you can just drive over stuff.

Yeah, I didn't think the bridge was necessary. The rangie didn't need winching out, it needed winching FORWARD (and probably a better winch position, too).

I agree that those guys have some pretty cool toys on the show, but I find them utterly irritating to watch. Maybe its just the Brit gimmicks, but they get old after about 2min for me. I maybe looking into this too much, but for the guys who have a pretty well known car show to be doing goofy things on this one episode just doesnt make sense.

Good episode. At least they bring some life and humor to the automotive world even though I suspect they know some things are just wrong and obvious. They are entertainers and know that.

I'm really tired of the same old shit on speed channel. Same old, dime-a-dozen, hot rod, lets'-build-a-350-chevy, Barrett-Jackson reruns.

The speed builder show forumla is this:

Classic muscle car
New body panels from Year One
LS engine or donated edelbrock crate motor
Suspesion bolt in
New interior with boom boom in trunk
Paint

Same for every show...
