Okay my 01 D2 has The battery drain issue. if the truck sits for about 1 week the battery will be dead. Bla Bla Bla... Now I have found that if I pull the F20 fuse which Disables Interior lights, Clock/Radio memory, Engine remobilisation, and Compact disc player the problem is gone! My question is which one of the items listed is most likey the problem?

I did search DWEB Threads on this.:banghead:

There's a real 'low tech' way to check for battery drain. Disconnect the battery earth lead and connect a low-wattage bulb between the cable and the terminal. The brighter the bulb, the bigger the drain. Now disconnect fuses/circuits/individual components/whatever. When the bulb gets appreciably dimmer, you have found the source of your drain. Mind you, there will always be some current flow, like the trivial amount the clock uses and one or two other items that need to 'stay awake'....

Cheers

unless the battery is new a car that sits for a week regularly without running will experience this.

Did you leave a CD inside the player?
If so that maybe your problem, it may drain current to remember the position. Make sure there is no CD and try again for a week and see if it holds up.

My battery is not new, and I can leave my 02 D2 for 4-8 weeks at a time with no battery drain issues.

Std OEM battery, std OEM Stereo and 6 CD Changer inside - I leave the vehicle unlocked and garaged (of course).

The original poster has a high standing current issue.

Either after-market stereo, or maybe alarm armed is doing it, or maybe you have an interior lamp left on or other after market electronics (radar detectors etc etc)

leave it sit overnight, in the morning feel the alternator. If its warm to the touch its drawing current and needs replaced.
