Good afternoon all. Can't figure out what the hell is going on on this truck mechanically it's perfect for the last 6 months the battery has been draining and I've checked all the breakers infuses and can't figure out why. Alternator seems to be charging well also but I need a booster pack every single day to start this thing have taken it to 2 different mechanics live on Staten Island New York Can anyone recommend a solution or a shop so I can better diagnose this issue? The 1st time it began I came into the car and started the engine and the sport and manual transmission like were flashing in green period from that day forward I bought a new battery checked the terminals but the battery kept draining. Does this mean the transmission computer is not hibernating and possibly drawing from the battery?

How large a parasitic load is it? Usually measured in milliamps. I think a glovebox light would draw a little less than 175 ma or so. nytime I have found big big loads it's something like a seat. If a module is staying awake it would be more like 300 or 400 ma . So depending on how many milliamps you have, I would tell you to check different stuff. After market radio or even the factory amp would be over an amp but probably not 2

Check the grounding wire and connection for the engine. A while back my D2 had a similar issue. Turned out that the engine was turned off but some short in that line was causing a very small drain. That drain was just enough to keep the truck from shutting down completely.

No, the ground wire was not grounded. The connection was corroded. So wherever short In the system didn’t have any place to go.
After cleaning the connection a month later I come to find that one of the wires was arching. After replacement the power drain never came back.

That’s amazing. So electricity to you is like FM?

Yes it is.

in fact sometimes I shove a fork into the sockets at home and hear the local radio stations.

Today I am jamming to the 80s.

Perhaps, let me speak to dragon, his name is Ted. I’ll inquire bout the spell he used.

may take some time though, we only communicate through Ouija these days. Every since they went to 5G his cell service is really bad.

What is your problem? Hmmm

You clearly have some issues and you seem to believe that it is okay to just be a jerk. If that is the case then, perhaps you can simply avoid making off hand comments for no other reason than yourself feel like a big boy. Hmm How does that sound?

Keep your crap to yourself![[

Hi, if possible to take out ground battery connector, and to connect there a current meter (A). Then extracting each of engine pannel fuses in order to find from which section drainage is going.
M and S lights frequently blink when low voltage is detected by gearbox ECU, and the first to check is these ground nuts at the side or near battery.
