don't use a screw driver. you will f'up your caliper doing that. you can buy a tool. or you can do it hillbilly style like i did. get a nice soft piece of wood and use it to force the calipers back in. once you have the pad securing pins out you can also leave the pads in and use a c clamp on the front face of the old pads to force the calipers in.

one thing to remember to do is that if you brake fliuid reservoir is nice and full, like it should be, you should unscrew the cap on the fluid reservoir and remove some of the fluid because when you press the calipers back in it is going to force the brake fluid back up into the reservoir. OR if you don't want to remove andy fluid, you can take another hillbilly tip from me and wrap the top of the open reservoir with a bunch of rags to catch the overflow.

(by the way no hillbillys were harmed in the changing of my brake pads. your actual results may vary)

and if any of you hillbillies out there are being offended by my usage of the term hillbilly, yer gonna have to let it go cause i am 50 percent Alabama hillbilly from my fathers side. So that gives me some rights to do things half assed.
