Not sure if slotted rotors and fancy pads really make a difference, but more braking is always better. Has anyone found a combo that really helped?

For my Disco 2:
- EBC GD Sport Drilled & Slotted Rear Rotors #GD957 & Front Rotors #GD994
- Akebono ceramic rear brake pads #ACT493 & front brake pads #EUR676
Stops on a dime with minimal brake dust.

I put Expedition Exchange DB Australian drilled and slotted rotors on my D2 back in the day. Followed them up with OEM. Never really noticed a difference. I’d be more concerned with keeping that 4.6 V8 cool than a braking upgrade on the D2.

How big of a dime? A really large one?

I use EBC pads and rotors on both D1&2. No large difference but very consistent without any problems. No warpage or fade ever. Or noise for that matter. Been thru 2 sets of rotors one for each disco and probably 5 sets of pads between 3 different discos.

I have the DBA rotors and Hawk HPS pads on mine. I like that combo because it made the brakes decent.

I installed a hydro-boost and new master cylinder and they are great now.
