If your pedal is getting soft after driving on mountain roads, I would say to check your wheel bearings are tight .If there is any play in the wheel bearings it will push the calliper pistons back when a side load is introduced. Just something to consider which probably isn't an obvious thing to check .

The master cylinder and servo arrived today. One note on the TRW master cylinder, in spite of it being shown with a reservoir (Rimmer Brothers), it does not come with one. There was no notation in the listing that it came without one. LR Direct was out of stock, which is why I went to Rimmers.

I was planning to return the Britpart master cylinder but it looks like I will have to keep it so I can use the reservoir.
This was the issue that made the PO of my 98 leave parked in his garage for years, front brakes were locked. I replaced everything with genuine LR parts and still the fronts were either locked up or rubbed bad enough to warp the rotor. I had to shorten the rod on the booster 3 mm. Hope you make it by in a few weeks.

Follow up post. The original problem was the off brand master cylinder causing the brakes to lock up. The loss of pedal ended up not being the booster\servo. When I installed the new rotors I did not put enough preload on the wheel bearings. They loosened up and caused the pistons in the calipers to move too far back into the calipers causing the pedal to drop to the floor. This was my first LR wheel bearing experience. Seems they require more preload than all my previous experiences.
