I was in Memphis last weekend and I completely forgot to go to bass pro.

I did get to see ducks in the fountain at the peabody.

Ah yes - that IS a big deal in town. haha. There are a few places we hang out when there in town that are decent. For the most part we steer clear of Beale St. But overall it's pretty rough. There is a reason they have mobile police cameras all over the place, including Bass Pro parking lot. And I can't believe people travel there to see Graceland - oh I bet you did!

I drove past Graceland but didn't stop. It's expensive and I didn't really care to go in.

I was there for work so I didn't have a lot of free time.

Cabela's is on my side of town and Bass Pro is on the other (40+miles). I've been to BP a few times, and I seem to like Cabela's better. I do have a few gift cards to Cabelas I should spend before the merger goes through.

I prefer Cabelas in Denver but Bass Pro is is far more conveniently located in Colorado Springs. Theres also a Magnum shooting range across the street which is an added incentive to go to Bass Pro.

I have $75 worth of Cabela's gift cards I got from work and for the life of me I can't anything they have I want. Cabela's used to be quality but since the BPS merger it seems they have had an influx of Chinesium products.
I wanted an outdoor fryer for wings and stuff but when the reviews go from "This is the best thing since I discovered my pee pee!", to "This thing is like finding out your best friend is doing your mom!", I have a hard time buying.

Yep. Cabela’s was a step above but is now just another brand of BPS. More camping/fishing/hunting gear and less Salt Life
