Thanks, although I can only take credit for some minor fine-tuning. Otherwise it's the standard design from a CampaATT South African expedition trailer.

What's killer to me is being able to pull over at mealtime, lower the counter, and have a full kitchen instantly ready to go. Used to be, all the unpacking and set-up hassle of digging out the stove, unburying the cooler, etc., generally limited trail-side meals to cold sandwiches. Now, I can have a steak and vegetables on the grill in seconds flat.

Here's what I'm talking about, from a week ago, coming out of the Saline Valley. Instant picnic-on-the-fly.

Well there's more than just food in there... Don't forget the beer and margarita fixings!

It's actually pretty much a mini-village, all folded up. Hot water heater, shower, 8' x 8' two-story tent, sink, firepit, 40 gallons of water ... yeah, ruffin it! ;)

margaritas.....yep fresh snow ones.....

Now you're talking! My bar is generally parked in the desert, so the snow is very scarce (see a couple of rare exceptions below).

So the principal pasttime becomes the endless squeezing of limes....

Jimjet stole my setup.

I've got one of those MSR whisperlight things, but I rarely use it. Actually, I end up using it at home more than the trail. I've been known to cook on the exhaust with tinfoil to avoid having to haul around a grill or build a fire.

I am absolutely rediculous about carrying the absolute bare essentials. I'll cut my toothbrush in half even when camping in a vehicle. When I hike, it's ON! One man against practicality and common sense.:D

On occasion, when I decide to get luxurious, I break out the Engal and a charcoal grill, but usually others have to coax me into it.

Cheers,

Kennith
