Does anyone have the file that was posted a couple years ago? There’s a 3D print bar near me and this would be a good excuse to go have a couple beers and give it a try.

Carling Switch Bracket 3D file

Here you go, the first one is the Switch bracket that goes where the Coin holder on a D1 is (in the middle).
The second is the switch bracket that would go where your stock switches are in a D1, or the ashtray slide out.

Am I missing something from the licensing on these?
Are they not Non comm - No deriv? So they can be shared, but not modified or used in a commercial aspect?
That may not be the entire reason. I doubt he's suddenly worried about personal rights to a coin tray adapter only a few people have heard of.
I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and wait for private clarification.

Robertf, I was wondering if you would be able to make something like this for a 96 Disco? To go where the garage door link switch goes, since I don't use that hole, just a blanking plate in there on mine. Looks similar to some of your other Shapeways products.

I believe the original license stated non redistribution. Even if it allowed the license would have to be redistributed in a way that was agreed to prior to data access.
Encountered too many jackasses selling them and one guy even claiming ownership of the design so I learned my lesson.

I have this habit of hoarding data, so I have a crap-load of 3d modled land rover stuff , websites, pdf's, how-to's, etc.
These happen to reside in that folder.
Says the guy that would whine like a bitch if it was him.
Because naturally, in the 20 years I've been here and all the drag links, tie rods, t-shirts and stickers I've sold here, I whined like a gay school teacher when someone ripped off a design.
Every new time it's posted increases the likelihood of an issue. Stuff falls out of relevant indexing eventually, after all.
