Have you verified that you have the CDL-linkage stud on your case to which to connect the linkage? If your case doesn't have the stud, you'll be up for swap before the linkage does you any good......

FYI, FWIW.....

Was it 2001? I was thinking it was late 2000.... maybe so, I never worried about it much, since we've got a '95....

FWIW.....

Thx Koby,

So MTNHDWR, you probably can forget all about my comment regarding checking for the nipple, as there's probably one there.

Of course, all this hasn't helped you find a set-up, tho'..... Anyone got one for the fella?

I have a mechanical installed on my '01 Disco and it works great. Looks very clean as well. I even installed myself in about 2 hours with no problems (very simple and straight forward). Check out Roverdude.com
I highly recommend this one.

I am very much aware of that system. I have seen him sell it on e-bay for 185.00 His web site says 233.00 something. How much did yours cost, if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks

If you contact him (email or phone) and let him know you are a member of D-web, he'll give you a break. I think I paid $188 for mine, but I'm not 100% sure. I did quite a few mods at that time and the costs are all blurred together.

Looks clean?

I dare you to say that it looks as clean as this:

Yeah, but that solenoid will burn out on you just at the most inopportune moment (axles deep in mud or something). Mechanical D1 linkage is solid and costs about $150 from a junkyard, all hardware included. And it also can be fit quite stealthily. ;)

Koby,

You're right that does look clean. I guess I am just old fashioned. I like the mechanical, because I know I can fix it on the trail. (Not that I could fix anything else, but at least I know I might be able to fix the cdl. )
