It works perfect. I was flabbergasted. Literally just plugged it in. Steering wheel controls, wireless CarPlay, all of it. I have it just sitting in my glove box now, will be pulling the center console to do it right and use the aux in instead of Bluetooth. The stock head unit and this thing fight a little bit over Bluetooth. Screen quality is no worse than the Sony CarPlay one I installed a couple years ago in my Chevy. The “swipe” feature is hard but that’s no big deal. Screen presses respond as fast as the rest of the head unit.

A little under $400 shipped. No reason to spend almost a G on the Naviplus one.

LR4? Did you need any off the shelf adapters or harnesses?

Yea, 2013. No adapters or anything, this is what I bought:
AliExpress CarPlay

You need a different one with the older stereos (10-12) but the seller was very communicative and easy to work with.

I bought a flush mount USB pass through port to replace the cigarette lighter in the console that I’ll run to the CarPlay unit to plug in the phone when I want.

Ok, the CarPlay computer is.. "mounted" and running into the truck via factory aux in. The bluetooth issues stopped, but I lost next/prev on the wheel (since it was still running via bluetooth). I sent the seller an email about it.

surprisingly not hard to take this all apart

popped the rear aux in out of it's home and its just sitting under the center console now, plugged in to the new unit.

only place it would fit and the wires would reach, but its got plenty of air circulation here anyway
