My buddy is selling his Disco. He bought it as a project to restore and get ready to do some climbing trips with his family. Due to other life issues (wife) and lack of time, he is going to bail. It is easily the cleanest D1 I’ve ever seen. The odometer has just over 200k, but the engine was replaced due to overheating. The new engine has a fresh top end and a block from a truck with 100k. I’ve helped him do a ton of work to it, as has Todd (flyfish). I may miss some things that have been done. Todd can chime in since he’s done more to it than I have. It is about 90% ready to be a daily driver. There are some wiring gremlins in the fuel system we are still working out. I know Todd drove it this weekend and says it drives great. The owner doesn’t know these trucks and doesn’t think it runs well. What has been done..

fan shroud
2” lift
New bushings where needed
New fuel pump
New injectors (my spares)
New plugs and wires
Lots of little interior bits
Lots of wiring repairs
New crank sensor
New o2 sensors
New cats (old were stolen)
New battery
New 32” ATs

the window ecu is being a prick. He ordered a spare one. The AC blows cold. All the lights and buttons work. Radio doesn’t work. But it comes with an Alpine to put in.

i would say it’s a $10k truck as it sits. I think he’s crazy to give up on finishing it. But I don’t have a wife barking at me.

Sure looks sharp. A potential solution to fuel pump woes is the wiring harness. I had recurring power loss to my fuel pump and a new wiring harness replaced in under an hour has kept it running smoothly ever since. It's not an expensive part and it's an easy job.

Well…this is back up for sale. Here’s a list of things that have been done recently…

New starter
New TF bushings all around
Front sway bar bushings
TF radius arms
TF stabilizer
New brake booster
New brake master cylinder
New power steering box
New power steering lines
Stainless brake lines
Swivel and hub seals

CEL is cleared. Fuel system issues are fixed. Passed inspection and clean title in hand. Radio works. I’m probably missing some things we did. It’s has some oil leaks but sale will include a gasket and oring kit. The front driveshaft doesn’t like the 2” lift. So either fix that or return to stock height.

He is at $10,000 firm.

Install a new driveshaft, coat it in armor-all, park it in a grassy field and take a thousand photos, and list it on BAT or that Doug Demuro site and get $10,000 all day long
