An alternative strategy could be to keep your 3” coils, add 1/2” spacers, 1/2 body lift, and some fender trimming. Spread out the compromise. Then fit whatever size tire you’re after.

You should be able to do that with 3" springs and spacers. I was able to on a D1.35s is about as big as I would ever do on a d2
They make different lengths, not just three inch.Nothing is wrong with them they are just meant for the 3 inches. Just my opinion, but once you use spacers it makes the suspension less efficient. I use spacers right now.

Makes sense. But I know what the spring rates are on the yota. Same as a rover. There curb weight is a 100lbs more than a disco. I have contacted a few different vendors, just waiting for a reply. I don’t just want super stiff spring that puts me in the air. I want a progressive spring that holds true and flexes as well.They make different lengths, not just three inch.
If you want a 4.5 inch lift they can probably help. There are also things you can do to get your lift without spacers.
I though at one time they had 5" springs.
Using decent springs that we know will work is better than guessing at what spring to stick under there.
If you get a 3" D1 spring for the front, It will give you 4+" in the front of a D2. In the rear you can use a taller spring with a D1 spring perch. I'm running a half inch wedge under the spring to level it out. I would give you the spring numbers but i probably can't make them out anymore.
This is the set up I'm using and I have 35" tires under the truck.
You know what makes suspensions less efficient? Throwing spring with unknown spring rates and properties under a truck just to see if it will give you the lift that you want.
What else have you done to accommodate larger tires and a taller lift? If all you run are trails that need such large tires, may a Toyota axle swap is what you need.

7-8 inches is beast. Probably a little too high for me. I would like a “tall” spring with a ride height of 4.5-5 inch lift. Basically spring to cover the void when the spring dislocates. A flexi spring. What are you running for drives shaft in rear? Double cardon with d1 flange?I have a new set of 5" RTE springs for $550 which will lift your D2 about 7-8" you need 2" spacers in the rear to level it just be warned that on a D2 if you plan on driving it on the road you will need to turn the knuckles about 8* to get your caster close and a Double double on the front to help the pinion angle

Those springs are stupid. I almost dropped the truck getting them out. when the axle was finally far enough away from the upper seat, the truck was starting to shift off the pads and the jack I had under the frame was shifting.
