Looking for a group consensus, I guess. As the reservoir is a perishable item and these engines, or at least my 03 4.6, are sensitive to overheating, do you replace them as preventative measure or wait for a leak. On rockauto they are about $30.

we were talking about the older part, not the thor crap. the guy who ordered this has a D1That's not for a D2. The D2 reservoir needs the two pins underneath and the nozzels as shown below.

price doubled overnight, all the non-venting designs got pulled from eBay.It does say you can use the OEM cap. Or you can install a pressure relief valve in that cap. I am going to order one myself. If there is an issue with it, at that price I can mod as necessary.
