I imagine this thread would have had a different tone if Heather Graham had been the one who died.

Sad that childhood actors of the 80's seem to be a magnet for drug use and alcohol later in life. But it's kinda to be expected. It's like giving a 15 year old an open ended credit card and letting them run wild, over the years they get used to living that way and expecting they will have that for the rest of their lives. so, instead of facing the fact that theie careers are over, they delve into drugs and alcohol, later doing special guest miniseries appearances only to end up overdosed with their friends and family finding them lying in their own excrement. What a lifE!

The thing is, it can be a very depressing position to be in - one moment you're the big star, and the center of the universe, and the next, you're all but forgotten and everyone has glommed onto something or someone else. It's easy to feel abandoned and unloved, and powerless... Then what started as fun and exploration quickly turns to escapism and deep addiction. It happens over and over.

I fully expected Corey Feldman to go first.

Me too.....

There were a whole little flurry of "the two Corey" movies back when I was in school. It's not that I thought he was a great actor, but, certain movies (like the aforementioned Lost Boys), are a memorable part of those formative years. No, not great movies, but, they were what was in theaters at the time... back when Kiefer Sutherland was still young (first date w/ my wife was to Young Guns, actually...). The Coreys, Kiefer, River Phoenix, Molly and Ally and the rest of the Brat Pack, Mia Sara and Jennifer Gray, John Hughes movies... Arnold and Sly and Jean Claude and Rutger Hauer, Star Wars and Indiana Jones....

If you're older, or younger, a lot of it may not mean a thing to you, and that's fine... but, for those from the right time frame, it is what it is....

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't know, nor care who this guy was.

I loved Mickey Hart's music until I met him, or rather did not meet him, as he was too cool to meet the guy who mortgaged his house to pay his wages that night. Vince Welnick OTOH! Another one lost to suicide, most likely through stupid white drugs.

Mickey Hart is a douchebag. Met Phil once, he was cool.
