I got bored so I signed up for a week long webinar course (3-hours per day) on US Government Acquisition practices.
Today's class is "Professional Services Acquisition Webinar - Writing Requirements, Standards, and Thresholds".

I wish I was still sitting around bored out of my mind. That extra bump on the unemployment was great. Now I'm back at work and it kinda sucks. Fuck nowadays with direct deposit I didn't even have to walk my fat ass out to the damn mailbox

Coworker is finally back after being down with Covid. That shit is real, he is struggling but much better. Looks like we are bringing kids back in to the schools part time this fall, this is all so nuts.

I think some of it just boils down to where we all are in different stages of our lives. When I was 32 I had 3 kids, mortgage ,wife's student loans, and a one income house. Then as the kids got to be about 8 my wife needed to get back to work to save her sanity and we had 2 incomes again but paid more for childcare than we did for our mortgage. Then more recently I was paying out for tuition.
If this stuff happened back in any of those time periods I would have been screwed. I could not have afforded to live on regular unemployment at $488 per week in my state. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that how we all make it thru this thing isn't just about how good any of us are with our money. You can be a financial genius but if you have less coming in than going out your just fucked.

I liked the dealership being closed so much I just decided to not go back when they told us to come in. Being funemployed is pretty great.

Like blue said must be nice. I am essential worker, in sales my job can go away due to bad business and I could be fucked.

The $1200 gift was a complete joke. The extra $600 for unemployed is a joke.

Get back to work, FFS.

You say you wouldn't allow it but really there is nothing you can do. The more you make a fuss about it the more a teenager digs in. Remember, when your a teenager you know everything, adults are idiots. Your teenager wont realize how smart you are till he has a kid who thinks he's a dumbass.

I would kick An 18 y.o. out of the house for dating young. That would be the immediate end to any support.

The way things are going, we're going to need a new "part II" thread......

Yep. Looks like Part II is going to be worse than part one.

Meanwhile, Taiwan is almost not affected. Why? Because their government, healthcare and people are NOT FUCKING IDIOTS. And this is not a dig against our president. Its a dig against every single dickhead out there there remains clueless about hygiene.

Dumbass americans (we don't have a lock on that market), which appear in my neck of the woods to be millennial are out in hoards without masks everywhere, riots, protests, etc its all just fine. Its actually justified. Almost every single person I see that is not social distancing AND not wearing a mask is some dumb ass young fucker or redneck.... call me prejudice, and it is a generalization for sure, but true.

This shit is dumb, people are dumb. At this point, I almost hope everyone gets it. Survival of the fittest and natural selection at work. My wife and I may go, but at this point I don't really give a fuck.

Is it any surprise there are increases in cases in various states 2-4 weeks after mass protests without social distancing or masks?

It seems like every other country has more of their business in a sock than the US because they haven’t been worrying about how to spin anything to make Trump look bad or ruin his re-election bid. Kids have been back to school here in the UK for 3 weeks. We got notified that we(the child who is in that class exposed to that kid) are to isolate for 14 days due to a potential COVID case at the school. No big deal. No real concern from our end and I’m guessing the kid who is suspected to have it will come back negative, but we will follow the rules until they say it is a negative test or no one gets sick for 14 days. It’s fairly simple. The rest of us can keep on doing normal stuff provided our kid shows no symptoms.

Chin up, old friend. Don’t go fatalistic on me now. Control the situation and never cede control or lose hope.
