Hi,
I may need a new crank position sensor for this D2. I know these sensors can be finicky for some cars and that aftermarket parts don’t always work well. I was wondering if I needed to go OEM or if aftermarket is fine for these.
Thanks

Pretty simple part, just a coil really; I fitted cheapest i could find without issue.
Only problems with these are wiring/heat related, make sure you refit heat shield, don't trap the wire and have the correct thickness spacer.
D2/P38 Thor engines use 18mm for autobox, 10mm for stick shift (if you can find one over here).
Dielectric grease on connector helps too.
Available for as little as $30 if you search around.
Same part fits lots of vehicles so I would not pay main dealer prices.

I bought a true bosch from Oreilly Auto in a o.e. direct box for around $40.00, open the box and check before purchase, it may be genuine in the box or not. "Oreilly puts parts from different manufacturers in their boxes" Stew is right about using bosch only. I tried a no name and it lasted 3 months.

autohausAZ.com is a great parts place, if you can wait.. OEM parts (Bosch) at quite reasonable prices
