Crankshaft position sensor insulation repair

1/8” heat shrink for the individual wires. 1/4” to sleeve the pair.

Remove electric tape from split loom, peel split loom back 10” or so

peel off flaking insulation.

Remove grease with IPA or electric cleaner

remove the yellow lock clip from the plug with a small flat head screwdriver.

insert pin removal tool from the back on the side shown in the picture. You should feel a click. Pull wire out. Note which wire went in each position

Slide 1/8 heat shrink over the terminal and seal. Its a tight fit but it works.

apply heat

slide 1/4” heat shrink over both wires

apply heat

reinsert wires in original positions. You should feel a click

reinstall yellow lock

recover with original split loom and tape up with electric tape
