Cruise Control

Can someone please show me how the cruise control vacuum pump is supposed to be situated under the hood? RAVE says it is under the jack (which sounds ridiculous). Mine is just laying in the spot next to the air filter box, not connected to anything. Probably doesn't work - but I would like to see how it is supposed to fit:



Seems to me the jack would just pulverize the pump with each little bump!

There are rubber mounts that pull through 2 or 3 holes up from the bottom. It just hangs there underneath in that general area. On the pump should be some rubber towers that have a graduated size difference to them, you pull those though the holes . Most people just let it sit in that area unmounted after the first removal, they can be annoying to remove and put back.

On a D2 it's just behind and below the coolant res.

The pic looks exactly like my DI. 99 was a change over year, the DI was the SD, the other was the series II.
